Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all taxi and cab bookings made with Arjun Travels (“we”, “us”, “our”), Haldwani, Uttarakhand. By making a booking, you agree to this policy, which forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. How to Cancel
To cancel or change a booking, contact us as early as possible by phone or WhatsApp at +91 90844 04569. A cancellation is effective only once we acknowledge it. The time of cancellation is taken as the time we receive your request.
2. Cancellation Charges
Where an advance has been paid, cancellation charges apply as follows (calculated on the total trip fare):
- More than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup — full refund of any advance paid, less applicable payment-gateway or transaction charges.
- Between 12 and 24 hours before pickup — up to 25% of the trip fare may be retained as cancellation charges.
- Less than 12 hours before pickup — up to 50% of the trip fare may be retained.
- No-show or cancellation after the driver has been dispatched — the advance is non-refundable, and any driver/fuel charges already incurred are payable.
For outstation multi-day trips, tour packages and tempo traveller bookings, advance amounts may be non-refundable closer to the travel date due to advance planning and resource blocking. Specific terms will be confirmed at the time of booking.
3. Changes to a Booking
Requests to change the date, time, route or vehicle are subject to availability and may change the fare. We will try to accommodate reasonable changes but cannot guarantee them.
4. Refund Method & Timeline
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method used. Refunds are normally processed within 7–10 working days, subject to your bank or payment provider’s processing time. Payment-gateway or transaction charges, where applicable, are non-refundable.
5. Cancellation by Us
In the rare event that we are unable to provide the booked service (for example, due to vehicle breakdown or unavailability), we will try to arrange a suitable alternative vehicle. If no alternative is acceptable to you, any advance paid for that booking will be refunded in full. Our liability is limited to such refund, and we are not liable for any other loss arising from the cancellation.
6. No Refund for Early Termination or Misconduct
No refund will be given for unused portions of a trip that is ended early at the customer’s request, or terminated due to the customer’s conduct as described in our Terms & Conditions (e.g. intoxication, misbehaviour, or carriage of prohibited goods).
7. Force Majeure
We are not liable to refund or compensate for cancellations, delays or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, roadblocks, strikes, accidents, government action or natural calamities. Where possible we will reschedule the trip.
8. Discretion
We may, at our sole discretion, waive or reduce cancellation charges on a case-by-case basis. Any such waiver shall not be treated as a precedent.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Nainital / Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
